At the DSAG Annual Congress 2019, KGS presented concepts for intelligent archives based on the slogan “tia – the intelligent archive.”
Even though the DSAG Annual Congress is all about SAP, companies naturally also use other applications that need to be orchestrated. It is precisely this hybrid system landscape approach that KGS is taking with its key topic: archiving. In Nuremberg, KGS’s new intelligent archive concept met with great interest from the specialist audience. The SAP community confirmed the continuing trend towards heterogeneity.
In addition to providing solutions that go beyond pure SAP archiving, the presentation of KGS at this year’s annual congress of the German SAP user group also focused on cloud- and S/4HANA-readiness. The cloud is becoming ever more important, so here, too, applications must be able to be deployed flexibly between the different IT worlds.
With regard to S/4HANA, archive specialist KGS has found that many companies are not ready yet to embrace this technology since they often lack the relevant business cases. However, archiving can help create these cases. Benjamin Schröder, Head of Development and Support at KGS: “In the context of S/4HANA projects, intelligent archiving gives rise to business cases for introducing the new product generation. As we learned from our discussions at the fair, this scenario is of great interest to many user companies.”
