Second ‘KGS Meet Up’ at Loewe provides a networking platform to SAP users looking for a lean archiving solution
Neu-Isenburg, Germany, 23 February 2017. ‘ECM for SAP is dead – Long live the archive’ – This title is deliberately meant to provoke. And as the motto of this year’s KGS ‘Meet Up’ networking event suggests, it addresses the replacement of ECM systems with lean archives. The event, held on 15 February 2017 at LOEWE Technologies GmbH, made it clear: There is a great demand among SAP users for lean SAP archive solutions as an alternative to overloaded applications.
Loewe phased out their legacy SAP archive solution a while back and changed over to KGS ContentServer4Storage. At their head office, the TV pioneer provided participants, comprising IT managers of well-known German companies, with details on this project. There was also a presentation by AFI GmbH on automatic invoice capture and ample time for exchanging ideas among one another as well as with KGS developers and consultants. Jochem Brost, Head of Marketing at KGS, comments on the event: “The ‘Meet Ups’ are evolving into an accepted forum for SAP users who want to learn about the latest SAP archiving, SAP-related document management and archive migration trends first hand.”
The program also included guided tours of the Loewe museum and production facilities, so participants learned a lot about the history of radio and television technology in Germany. “I was impressed with the high quality standards applied to Loewe’s TV assembly line,” commented a participant. “This puts the small price gap with competing Asian products in a new perspective.” It is thus safe to say that Loewe and KGS represent the perfect fusion of two high-end products.
